Large Gilt Bronze Baroque Clock by. A large and superb antique French gilt bronze clock. It is beautifully modelled in the Baroque style, boldly formed of scrolling panels with grotesque masks, and dolphins. To the top is a large urn with a flaming finial and dolphins. This is a beautifully finished, large and heavy bronze clock. The dial is porcelain enamel on copper and is complete with its original fine blued steel hands. The French movement is of high quality and is by. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition just some tiny nibbles to the winding holes.
