French Antique Petrin (Dough Bin or Kneading Box) in Walnut Wood

  

Description of item for sale. This petrin is from France and it dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's. These boxes' original use was to proof/rise bread dough. This one is made from walnut and finished to a warm dark color.

In addition to being a rustic accent to your home, it has many practical uses with its large storage area and drawer. Overall this piece is in very good antique condition with the usual amount of nicks and scratches as well as old, inactive woodworm holes here and there. Dimensions : 47" long, 30" tall and 20 deep. Assembly, if needed, is not included in the charges.
