This attractive late 19th-early 20th century Louis XVI style cast bronze cartel clock measures 18" tall x 8 3/4" wide with 5 3/8" convex porcelain dial x 3 3/4" deep and has working key and original pendulum and good spring. When wound, it runs for about 15 minutes and then stops, so some cleaning and regulating will be necessary. The case has a lovely drom bownot design with large floral garland and banded laurel borders and boasts a recent professional bright golden polish.
There is some chipping around the hole at the top of the dial and the dial is in otherwise fine condition. It has a replacement plastic convex lens in the door and the movement is simply marked LF and numbered 345. Its hand crafted back cover fits snugly and there is no apparent damage to the case. The item "Antique French Polished Bronze Louis XVI Cartel Clock Bagues & Fils Paris As Is" is in sale since Sunday, September 26, 2021.
