A LOUIS XVI STYLE GILT BRONZE CARTEL CLOCK, JAPY FRERES, CLOCKWORKS, CIRCA 1880, in the form of a quiver filled with feather arrows, over ribbon tied laurel leaf and berry sprigs, above a swirling raised dial with convex window opening to reveal a Roman hour and Arabic numeral minute marks enameled porcelain dial, the clockworks with pastille stamp, "Japy Freres et Cie, Grande Médaille d'Honneur, " and numbers 59867 and 5-2, pendulum matched, flanked by two flaming urns hung with garland pendants, above a ram's head mask, terminating in a suspending pinecone finial.

Works very well, keeps time. Some patina, minor surface wear, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use. Height: 20" Width: 9" Depth: 4.
