ANTIQUE FRENCH LOUIS XV NATURAL SHELL GOLD SILVER PIQUE URN PATCH BOX c1780. An antique French natural shell patch box; decorated to the hinged lid with engraved and inlaid rose gold piqué decoration, depicting an urn, with green and yellow gold and silver highlights, and an original mirror to the inner lid. A beautifully decorated, highly collectable & totally original box!

CONDITION : All original and generally good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Some cracks & hairlines to lid, a few chips and areas of loss - see pictures. Mirror a little worn through age, bezel a little loose. French gold control marks to inner hinge.
