It as formed as a round bronze body housing the movement suspended from an ormolu ribbon swag with a bow crest. The bronze body is decorated with a swag of flowers in ormolu and a motif of a quiver of arrows and a torché. The large dial is porcelain enamel on copper with beautifully fretted and incised gilt brass hands.
The French movement is of high quality and is by. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker.
It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration.
Bronze has a lovely original patina with slight wear and discolouration and a few small marks. The dial is also in excellent condition just some tiny nibble to the edge near the one o'clock that cant be seen with the bezel closed and a some light hairlines.
