Louis Japy Gilt Bronze Rococo Clock. A large and superb antique French gilt bronze Rococo clock. It is flamboyantly modelled with bold scrolls of acanthus applied to the waisted case with a large urn of flowers to the top. The case is profusely pieced, allowing the pendulum to be seen gently swinging within.

It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some slight wear and discolourtion.
