This is a huge vintage French Louis XVI style wall sconce made of brass. It features a ribbon design and has five lights.
The sconce is gilded and has a gold color. It was made in the 1900s and is an original piece. The sconce is large, measuring 38 inches. There is an architectural central column decorated with a cartouche and drapery festoons issuing five curving arms with acanthus leaf armbacks and gadrooned bobeches terminating in a faux candle light socket and surmounted by a ribbon bow.We closely inspected for any flaws or issues. This piece is in great condition. There is a small piece of metal missing in the area as noted with the red arrow, and one of the arms is slightly bent, but could easily be bent back into place with the proper skill.
