Set of six small early 20th century French sterling silver vodka or liquor cups on a silver plate tray. Each piece features ornate Classical style ribbon and reed decoration.
The cups have gilt vermeil interiors. The set comes complete with its original fitted presentation/storage box. The cups have light scuffs and a small faint dimple or two, but no larger dents, splits or repairs to note.
The tray has surface scratches, tarnish spots, small corrosion marks and there is some light fading/wear to the plating, visible on the raised decoration of the edges and handles. Each cup bears the French Minerva 1st standard hallmark for. 950 silver along with a silversmith mark'LG' for Louis Garnier, who worked between 1903 and 1913 at 48 rue Charlot in Paris. The cups are 1 9/16 inches (4 cm) tall and 1 3/8 inches (3,5 cm) in top diameter.
The tray is 12 1/8 inches (30,7 cm) long from handle to handle. The combined weight of the six cups is 46 grams. Weight with the tray is 265 grams. Total weight with box is 577 grams. The box is structurally sound, but it has some minor surface wear, rubbing, and'wrinkling' of the paper material on top and sides. The interior fabric has some staining and fading from age.
