For sale is an antique wine glass. I believe this was made by the St.
Louis crystal company, early 20th century. This pattern is apparently called "Lafayette" and is seen in their 1908 catalog, although the glass itself is unsigned. It has a neat faceted stem with a bubble in the center, and a gilt decorated rim and sides. It's actually quite fine-- the urn and bow design is hand etched and then painted gold. This piece is approx 7 1/4 tall. I believe it was made in the pattern as a regular wine glass, but online sources call this shape a "hock wine" glass due to the tall neck and small bowl. Note that I just have this one piece, but the pattern seems quite scarce.
It would be a great addition to any collection!
