Antique Levison & Blythe St. Louis French Copying Ink Bottle Crock Stoneware RR

  
This bottle has an original label. It was applied at a slightly crooked angle. The label has holes, wear, fading and stains. The bottle itself is in good condition with some ink stains in the neck and one "as made" manufacturing crack in the spout.

The bottle is not perfectly square on the bottom, so it wobbles a bit. A portion of the cork is in the bottom of the bottle, along with some dry ink dust. It seems the company started in the mid 1800's and was still in business in the 1930s/40s. I didn't have a lot of luck with this research, nor do I know the age of this bottle.

It says For Railroad and Express Co's use. Measures approximately 7.75" tall and 3" across the bottom. Weighs just under 1.5 pounds.
