Antique Gilt French Louis XVI Taboret / Low Table With Green Marble Inset Top. Elegant smaller sized 1920s - 30s vintage carved wood French Louis XVI style taboret. Rectangular in shape, with angled corners. A mottled green marble top is inset from the underside, with an oval top with beaded inside edge. Each corner has a classical scroll work design on the top. The sides have an pierced design with inset medallions and a laurel leaf garland swags around all four sides.

Tapered, reeded and ornamented legs. The finish is an old gilt paint, with an intentionally antiqued patina. The remains of an old paper label on the underside, not legible.

All the pieces and carvings are present and intact. The marble is without cracks, chips or stains. Measurements: 23" wide, 16" deep and 13 tall. The marble oval is approximately 19" x 12.5".
