Antique German Silver Clad Knives, French Market. Elegant antique German silver clad knives are designed in the. Pattern of shells and leaves. The silver clad handles bear the German hallmark on both sides, comprised of the number "800" with a crescent and a crown, guaranteeing at least 800/1000 silver content, along with an unidentified maker's mark. These knives were made for the French market as attested by the French importation hallmark consisting of the image of a weevil. The chrome plated blades are not the originals. These six knives are in good condition with the exception of faint scratches and small dents due to great age and use. We have two other, identical, knives that have cracks in the handles and one which has its original blade stamped. Please refer to the detailed photos on this page.
