Absolutely gorgeous antique French hallmarked. 800 (nearly sterling) silver 8pc vanity set in a highly ornate Louis XVI decorative style and including a lovely 10 1/8 hand mirror, four brushes of various sizes and three dressing implements! All with striking Louis XVI style decoration in faint bas relief, large scrolling tendril framed medallions but no monograms.

All five larger pieces bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "2" within those marks designates them as being in at least. 800 silver 80% pure so just under the. 925 standard for "sterling" silver. Made to last in style, and superb condition given their age, as evidenced by our pictures.

A truly magnificent vanity set, perfect alongside sterling perfume and/or vanity jars! One you'll love to own and show off so maybe displayed in the guest or main bath?

No dents, damage or repairs to the silver and all of the brushes' bristles are original and in great shape with age considered (just sanitized, too). The original beveled mirror is intact and only has a few minor surface scuffs. The glove stretcher is in great shape but the larger button hook is missing a portion of its hook and the smaller one has a bit of a bend at the top of the handle. We're easy to deal with.
