Antique French (Sevres) portrait Louis XVII Dauphin de France cabinet plate 1905

  

Magnificent antique French cabinet plate from 1905 with a very high quality craftsmanship. Beautiful Sevres cobalt blue background, which is one of the colours that Sevres used, scalloped rim, decorated with gilded enamel ornamental band. Central part depicts wonderful portrait, painted in an exquisite way, of Louis XVII Dauphin de France, son of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI, died at 10 years old at the Parisian prison The Temple. This incredibly beautiful portrait bears a signature of the artist M. Bonery, also the year 1905.

Fantastic piece with no apparent signature, but judging from the style, the ornamentation and the incredible quality, I do believe this plate could be attributed to Sevres production.
