This exquisite frame is finely and intricately cast in gilt bronze in the Louis XVI style. The frame features a top crest ribbon from which cascading flowers surround the frame and intertwine at the bottom. The frame contains a hand-painted portrait of a lovely noblewoman wearing a substantial black pearl earring and wearing a fine and delicate lace costume. The frame can be used on a flat surface with the built-in easel and also hung on a wall with the loop on the back.

In very good antique condition, with minor wear and tarnishing commensurate with age. Portrait has minor wear and crazing commensurate with age.
