A superbly carved and untouched Louis Philippe armchair. This statement piece boasts its original black leather upholstery and a very desirable exposed walnut frame. The armrests are padded, and the chairs unusual ears, designed to protect the occupiers face from the fire, make an ideal headrest. This is a proper Gentlemans armchair designed for lounging in comfort.

The original leather has worn in some places, but we believe it would be sacrilegious to tamper with this pieces original upholstery. Almost all of the original tacks are intact, and those missing have been replaced.

There are some marks to the walnut frame consistent with age and use, and it has been treated for woodworm. 69 x 69 x 110 cm.
