This is an antique and superlative French bronze chandelier with the shape of a basket with bronze flowers, branches, leaves and decoration in the Louis XVI style. One of the most profusely ornate, intricate and exquisite bronze basket chandelier i have seen. The basket mat is made by hand with bronze mats, exquisitely reproducing the bamboo mat, not cast. You can see the refined and sophisticated Louis XVI style decoration on the frames and edges of this incredibly elaborate basket. This impressive chandelier has been made during the end of XIX century in France and is in excellent condition considering its age.
