Antique Embroidered Purse French 18th Century 1700s Metal Thread Louis XVI Old

  

This is an antique embroidered coin purse. Made in the 18th century and sourced in France. It has metal thread embroidery and an embroidered leather back. It has a very specific type of hook clasp typical of the period. The back of the inside of the purse is a yellow dyed scrim.

There are several sections inside with dyed leather flaps.. There are few signs of use or wear and it may have been from a shop or a sample. It was probably a mans purse and used to hold small bank notes.
