French Louis XV Period Tapestry in Carved Giltwood Frame Firescreen. French Louis XV style fireplace screen with carved and gilded wood frame and petit-point Aubusson tapestry. Wonderful patina and age wear.

Fabulous handmade tapestry featuring a dog chasing a rabbit near a tree surrounded by a bountiful floral border. Lovely brass nailhead trim inside exquisite carved gilt wood frame raised on elegantly carved legs. Arched frame has sweet carved fan and floral motif. Absolutely stunning antique French tapestry fire screen will add elegance and style to any hearth!! Legs reattach easily and epoxy is recommended.

Dimensions: Screen measure 39-1/2"H x 27"W x 15D (at feet). Weigh is approximately 10 lbs. In very good antique condition with normal wear from age and use.

Gorgeous patina and age wear! Screen is tight and sturdy. Tapestry has some tearing, as shown. Wear to frame includes scuffs, gilt losses and loose feet.
