Antique 1890-1920s French Louis XV Style Brass Fireplace Screen Rococo Features

  

A top antique piece in the French style. The screen section is about 23 3/4 from top to bottom. Overall height including the foot section is about 30 to the top of the screen frame. The widest part of the screen is about 26 3/4 to outside of frame. The bottom distance across the feet is about 23.

Floor to bottom center of screen frame is about 6. At feet from front to back is about 6. The front legs are a fixed part of the frame. The back Acanthus legs are attached with two machine screws each. The back right foot is apparently not original (see photo 7 and the original is the rear foot).

It is screwed into the leg in the original threaded part. The three original feet were screwed in and additionally secured by some type of material. The wire screen section is seemingly quite old. It is attached by brass fittings on the back.

There is a group of letters and a group of numbers stamped into the top screen brass fitting. These pieces and some other areas were cleaned and polished for the photos. Please review all of the photos indicating detail and condition. In general the piece is considered to be in excellent condition for its age; and the screen insert is as found and used condition.
