A Truly Beautiful French Aubusson Verdure Tapestry. Woven in wools and silks depicting a Romantic Pastoral Scene. Two Maidens attended by a Gentleman. To their right a young man in a gazebo playing a violin. A pair of Love Birds perched on the roof of the gazebo.
All within a wooded garden setting. This tapestry was the subject of full conservation in 1995. Which included professional cleaning and re lining. Undertaken by world renowned textile conservators CHEVALIER France.

This Three Hundred and Sixty year old hanging is now in ready to hang, clean / restored condition. With an exquisite gently time worn look that only centuries of age can achieve.
