Antique Impressive French signed Royal Blue Vase by Louis Dage with very fine Swan Heads ormolu mount 15 1/4. Antique Treasures from Paris to your Door. Impressive heavy and tall Royal Blue vase with. Finest extensive ormolu mount by french ceramist Louis Dage. This rare Empire vase, which could be a Paul Milet production of the same years, is extremely different from later works of Louis Dage Art Deco pieces with floral decoration , and belongs to his very early time in Paris.

Dage settled down in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Sèvres, in 1919. One year later, he founded. A pottery in Antony, near Paris, where he worked until 1934 as he left with a new wife for a new factory (Saint-Sever) in the South of France. The base of the vase bears a beautiful handpainted signature in blue « DAGE PARIS » in capital letters.

Part of the « D » hidden by a glaze streak. Extremely fine bronze mounts, probably made by E.

Val (a partner of Louis Dage in Antony), heavily gilt and in pristine condition. Body of the vase in cobalt dark blue without any chip or crack.
