Antique French XL Dolphins Giltwood Pedestal Jardinières. We had them re (gold) leafed at Serge Nguyen restoration studios in Paris. We decided to add silver leaf on the necks as you see in photos. They were created in the Nap III period , end 19th Century when all the rage was Louis XV. They were done in the Chinoiserie style of Louis XV , which dates to the 1720s when Asia was being introduced in the French Court. They are unique , 2 of a kind items not to be found again. They are in fairly good antique condition , as there are some minor cracks that dont affect the very solid pieces , the imperfections are minor and are appropriate to the 25 years since they were restored. Do look closely and you can request more pics if necessary. They are heavy , the measurements are approx 25.5 Tall x 24 W x 15 Deep when the dolphins face one another.
