PAIR OF FRENCH BRONZE CANDELSTICKS LOUIS XVI. Certified by the method of manufacture. 2 parts and large welded screw. Diameter base 13 cm / 51.

Weight : 1610 grs pair (Very Solide and Heavy). Condition : Very good with patina of time.

Beautiful carving and Gilt Ormolu. WITH REGISTRED TRACKING 30 DOLLARS. How to know the date of French candlesticks. In the eighteenth century (1740/1790), the binet and the barrel formed a single piece which is molded in two parts.

The shaft ends with a screw thread. In the nineteenth century, (1800/1890) the methods change. A threaded rod hidden in the barrel connects the 3 parts together. The binet is equipped with a thread that serves as a nut and stiffens all the parts.
