This is a beautiful, authentic antique French desk lamp, made in around 1860, in the Louis XVI style. It was made from very finely gilded bronze and has a beautiful piece of marble on the foot. It has its old original gilded bronze colour which is very beautiful. The branch and leaf decorations are very typical of its style. The old Bordeaux red shade is also still authentic. This piece naturally has some very minor signs of wear due to its antique age. The marble foot has an old restoration on it. It works perfectly fine and will be beautiful in any room. It has been rewired and has a new fitting so that it works on all modern-day electricity. It is a very chique item.
