Up on offer here is this superb French antique Art Nouveau 1920s Louis XIV Versailles Style bronze and moulded Opalescent panelled glass lantern. Fine piece of Art Nouveau lighting. Magnificent and quite rare piece of French Art nouveau 1920s period lighting. Heavy moulded panelled body in opalescent and frosted glass with acid etched floral decoration. Beautiful heavy relief opalescent art nouveau panel borders. Large and quite heavy bronze crown gallery with original locking bolts, upper finial and hanging fitment.

Heavy decorative bronze ceiling plate with original hanging fitment. Original internal brass wiring fitments with original brass bayonet fit bulb holder. Heavy, staged base galley with circular locking studs feature and a large base finial. Fully re-wired in the 50s, tested and in perfect working order.

Weighing more than 4.5 KG, this piece is very substantially designed and built. Totally amazing when lit; guaranteed to be the central focal feature of the room. For dimensions, please see images. The light is in beautiful period condition with some flea bite and small chips to rims (completely invisible when assembled);commensurate with 90+ years of service.
